ULTRASOUND SECTION
Department of Radiology
The Department of Radiology, Ultrasound Section is offering the whole range of diagnostic ultrasound examination using the top-of-the-line EUB-8500 HV that delivers outstanding diagnostic confidence, productivity, reliability and has been fundamental in the unique Hitachi Real-time Tissue Elastography (HI-RTE) research breakthrough. It is the gold standard in high-end endoscopic ultrasound, internal medicine, and plays a pivotal role in breast imaging and urological research.
Virtually all parts of the body may be examined using the system, including neonatal brain, carotids, abdominal or peripheral blood vessels, thyroid glands, breasts, prostates, tests, muscles, joints, soft tissues, chest, abdomen (liver, gall-bladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, appendix, etc.) and pelvis (uterus, ovaries and pregnancy).
Ultrasound - guided precutaneous biopsy or abdominal, thyroid or breast masses or tumors; needle aspiration or drainage of abscess, cyst, pleural effusion or ascites; and transrectal biopsy of the prostate are being performed with great precision and accuracy.

The Ultrasound Section is manned by well-trained and experienced radiologists who are leaders in their field and by qualified and competent ultrasonographers and other support staff.
