CMC Celebrates 39th Foundation

           Capitol Medical Center, marked the 39th Anniversary Foundation for the whole month of June. The events were participated by members of the medical staff, management and employees.
            The 2009 anniversary kicked off with a thanksgiving mass and healing mass on June 1 and 5, respectively held at the 12th Flr. Auditorium.  A medical mission was held at the Gen. Roxas Elementary School in Quezon City in collaboration with the CMC Foundation and the Dept. of Pediatrics. For 4 consecutive  Saturdays ( June 6, 13, 20 & 27) CMC provided Free Consultations to the residents of Brgy Paligsahan and Free Urinalysis to all Kidney Patients at the Out-Patient Department.  June 7, the CMC Employees enjoyed  a  morning of fun and games during the CMC Family Day at the Amoranto Sports Complex.
            Trainings and seminars for continuing education were part of the celebration. The Dept. of Medicine conducted a “Diabetes Lecture” on June 9, while the Dept. of Ob-Gyne held a Lecture on June 10. In the afternoon of June 11, the Employees Program was held at the Amoranto Performing Arts Theatre featuring song and dance numbers from selected employees. The program was highlighted by awarding the retired hospital employees and those who have rendered 5 to 35 years. An Art exhibit was held at the hospital lobby of June 15 featured were the painting of Mr. Fernando Sena plus artworks of doctors and other graduates of 2009 Art Workshop. A well attended medical staff lunch was  held June 16 at the 12th Floor Auditorium.
            In the morning of June 17, the Dept. of Pediatrics conducted a Symposium "The Art of Pediatric Practice: Reconciling Clinical Experience With Medical Evidence Part II" at the 12th Flr. Auditorium  and in the afternoon the Dept. of Ob-Gyne held a Research Workshop 1.  On June 20, Capitol Citiwide of the Dept. Of Ob-Gyne was held at the 12th Flr. Auditorium.  June 24 was another busy day conducting  lectures and seminars. The Dept. of Medicine held lecture on “A Basic Approach to Target Therapy” and another 3 hours  seminar on “Livelihood Program”  by the Dept, of Pediatrics. June 25, the Kidney Transplant Unit  held an “Inter Active Patients Forum”. The second part of the Research Workshop of the Dept. of Ob-Gyne was held on the 26th and on the 27th a lay forum on “Prostate Health” by the Dept. of Surgery was held at the 12th Floor Auditorium.
            It was a busy month for the hospital. The over-all  chairman of the 39th Anniversary if Ms. Carmina C. Desales, Vice-President / COO.
