Corporate Social Responsibility

Donation of Books and Toys: Dr. Thelma N. Clemente together with Dr. Lucilla Naidas, Dr. Ernesto Delos Reyes and Dr. Milagros Encarnacion donated Books and Toys to the students of Gen. Roxas Elementary School.
Medical Mission: As part of the hospital’s commitment to render health care to the community a Medical Mission was held at the Barangay Paligsahan.
Sisters of the Poor of St. Catherine of Siena: CMC has been supporting different community projects around Quezon City. Most recently the Sisters of the Poor of St. Catherine of Siena, St. Joseph Formation House located at Nicanor, Quezon City received medicines, books and toys from CMC for the street children of Q.C.
Trash For Cash: Capitol Medical Center donated condemned appliances and equipment to Ateneo De Manila High School in support of their various projects. OUR PRIDE..... Congratulations!

Dr. Rogelio P. Mendiola, FPOGS, consultant, Dept. of Ob-Gyne was recently appointed as the President of the Capitol Citiwide Incorporated an organization of seventeen prestigious institution and hospitals of the National Capitol Region.

Dr. Ma. Josephine Yuson-Sunga, consultant, Dept. of Pediatrics bagged the Ist Place in Pfizer Philippine Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society Research Award and 2nd place in the Philippine Pediatrics Society Basic Science Research Award consultant category during the Annual Convention of the Philippine Pediatric Society.

Dr. Catherine N. Santos, resident, Dept. of Ob-Gyne won in 2 research paper contests, 3rd place in the POGS National Research and 2nd place in the Capitol Citiwide Incorporated Research with her paper entitled “The Effect of Catherization in the Incidence of Postpartum Urinary Retention in Patients Under Epidural Anesthesia”.
The CMC Department of Pediatrics is once again proud to announce that they have achieved 100% passing rate in both oral and written in the March 2009 Philippine Pediatric Society Diplomate (Oral)Exam.The following who passed were Dr. Beverly Dela Cruz, Dr. Ruby Reyes-Ilaga, Dr. Carmelette-Espiritu-Salvador, Dr. Zerzendee Siy and Dr. Pamela Velasco.

Last November 15, 2008, Capitol Medical Center received a plaque of appreciation from the officers of Barangay Paligsahan for the continued support to the various programs and projects of the Barangay. Dr. Milagros R. Encarnacion accepted the plaque of appreciation. In our advocacy in health promotion and health education, the Department of Pediatrics has conducted several projects to our adopted school and barangays.
